The Davis County Republican Party will hold a mini-convention to select a candidate to replace state Sen. Dave Steele on Thursday, June 12, 8:30 p.m. at Farmington Junior High School, 150 S. 200 West.
Republican County delegates from Senate District 21 (portions of Layton, Clinton, Syracuse, Clearfield and West Point), who were selected in their neighborhood caucus meetings in March 2002 will be eligible to vote at this mini-convention.
Five individuals — Scott Holt, Sheldon Killpack, Kevin Probasco, Curt Oda and Paul Ray — have filed to replace Steele, who is stepping down for personal reasons.
