This is my first letter to an editor. Usually, I just complain to others. But, although I have been a loyal (though not lavish) customer of Nordstrom, I say, let them leave town. The future of Salt Lake City does not depend upon Nordstrom. There are many other great stores that could come to Main Street, if they thought a commitment was a commitment.
Rocky has become a flip-flop mayor. Will the City Council seek the same reputation? In the long run, it will be better for Nordstrom to leave downtown Salt Lake City. Gateway has had enough help already. Let's honor the restrictions that everyone originally agreed on.
