How sad that in a nation that promotes freedom of choice and rewards for hard work, we elect such idiots. Has it ever dawned on any of them that there may be a more logical way to reduce the deficits: Cut the spending.
Joe Hatch complains about large deficits, and his only solution is to tax the rich at higher rates. At the same time he wants to give tax refunds to individuals who don't even pay taxes. The war on poverty will never end until elected officials like Joe Hatch stop stealing valuable resources from the people who can create private-sector jobs. The truth is they don't want the war to end. It keeps them employed.
