Descendents of Joseph Smith Sr. will participate in the 17th biennial reunion this August, celebrating their heritage in Nauvoo, Ill. Participants will view The City of Joseph pageant, attend a family banquet and participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at nearby Carthage Jail where the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred.
Some family members will join a bus tour Aug. 3-Aug. 13, viewing Church historic sites in Liberty, Independence, Richmond, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahman and Hannibal, Mo., in addition to Nauvoo and Carthage, Ill. The public is invited to participate in the family reunion and tour.
