PARK CITY — Salt Lake City runners Fritz Van de Kamp and Karen K. Minchow captured the men's and women's titles at Saturday's Park City Marathon.
Van de Kamp finished the 26.2-mile course in 2 hours, 42 minutes and 41 seconds, ahead of Mark Jolley of Washington Terrace (2:55:39) and Nathan S. Pollard of Layton (2:56:06).
Minchow finished in 3:18:49. She was followed by Park City's Nancy C. Hendrickson (3:20:09) and Salt Lake's Lorie Hutchison (3:21:21).
Of the 327 runners who registered for the seventh annual race, 296 finished.
The Park City marathon is the second leg of the Utah Grand Slam, in which runners compete in five Utah marathons — Ogden, Park City, Salt Lake City/Deseret Morning News, Top of Utah and St. George.
