1940 ~ 2003

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend passed away peacefully on June 13, 2003 surrounded by her family.

Born June 9, 1940 in Rock Springs, WY, she was the oldest of four children born to Jess (deceased) and Rosalyn Jensen Feild. Barbara lived in several areas growing up but most of her memories were in Superior and Missoula, MT. In high school she took an active part in musical activities where her love of music developed by way of the flute and piano. One of the highlights of her senior year was winning an essay contest and a trip to New York City. She enrolled in business college in Missoula after graduating from High School. After completing college, Barbara moved to Salt Lake City, UT where she met and fell in love with her eternal companion, Richard K. Kristensen. They were married for time and all eternity on Sept 7, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Barbara was a dedicated and active member of the LDS Church where she was an example of unconditional love to all who knew her. Her family always came first and she gave of herself in any way to help her children. The hours spent with her grandchildren will always be a special part of their lives. With her bitter parting from us, there will be a happy reunion with those who preceded her in death. We will miss you.

She is survived by her husband, Richard K. Kristensen; mother, Rosalyn Jensen Feild of Farmington; children and spouses, John and Talana Kristensen of Kaysville, Richard Jr. and Carol Kristensen of Kearns, David and Trasi Kristensen of Bellevue, Washington, Marie and Jim Abbott of Silverdale, Washington, Robert and Jenn Kristensen of Centerville, Paul and Kristin Kristensen of West Valley, Sara Huff of West Valley, Anna Kristensen of Bountiful; 11 grandchildren; brother, Delbert (Edie) Feild; sisters, Lana (Richard) Jex, Gay (Bill) Foust. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Kristensen.

Services will be Tues. June 17, 2003, 12 noon at the Orchard 7th Ward Chapel, 3600 S. Orchard Dr., Bountiful. Family and friends may pay their respects Mon. 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, and at the church Tues. 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
