1914 ~ 2003

MAGNA <! > - The world has lost a generous man June 13, 2003.

Born July 22, 1914 in Trousdale, OK where he lived as a child. Dad later moved to Magna where he met the love of his life, Amelia Rogler. After a brief courtship they were wed in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, which he helped to build. They have been happily married for 55 years.

He worked for Kennecott Utah Copper where he was a proud member of the U.S.W.A. Local 392. Among his many jobs he served as a grievance committeeman and negotiator. He retired in 1981 after 34 years of service.

Dad was a multi-talented man with a wealth of knowledge and is credited with 17 patents. But whether it was one of his many inventions, love for artistry or the craftsmanship in which he put into everything he touched, Dad felt his greatest accomplishment was the love he had for his beloved wife and family who were with him at his time of passing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was very proud of his family.

Survived by his wonderful wife, Amelia; daughters, Jilaire (Ron) Sor-enson, LoWanee (Ron) Price, LeLe (Bob) Wilkinson; sons, Andy (Lucy), Lee (Candy Smith); son-in-law, Les Wade; 12 grandchildren; and many extended family members. Preceded in death by his daughter, LeMei Wade; and grandchildren, Shane Mendenhall, Terha Wilkerson.

A Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. June 17, 2003 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 2840 S. 9000 W, Magna. A Rosary will be recited Mon. June 16, 2003, 7 p.m. at the church. Friends may call at the church Mon. 6-7 p.m. and 9-9:45 a.m. the day of services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to sincerely thank the nursing staff and aides at St. Josephs Villa that made Dad's life a little more enjoyable.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church or your favorite charity.
