Sandy's friends and colleagues are deeply saddened to report her death. She died of cancer in Montrose, CO., where she and her life partner, Georgia Beletsos, have lived for the past few years.
After graduating from Denver University, Sandy taught elementary school in New Mexico and Nebraska. In 1972, she began working in the Salt Lake City District as a Title I specialist. She then taught English and Drama at South High from 1980-88. When South High closed she taught English, Alternative Ed. and photography at East High until 2000.
She is survived by Georgia Beletsos and two sisters, Maria and Andrea Frascati.
