1913~2003
SALT LAKE CITY - Donna McDonald Parker Aposhian, age 89, our sweet, caring, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on June 15, 2003. During the last days of her life, she was surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.
She was born Sept. 18, 1913 in Manti, Utah to James X. McDonald and Effie J. McDonald. She married Donald L. Parker in 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Donna was an LPN nurse at LDS Hospital for 15 years. She enjoyed quilt making, crocheting afghans, gardening, and canning fruits and vegetables. Donald passed away in 1981.
She married George Z. Aposhian in 1984. They loved traveling and entertaining family and friends in their backyard. She was a member of the Kenwood 1st and 2nd Wards for many years and enjoyed her church service and many friendships. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always made and enjoyed time with her family.
Preceded in death by her first and second husbands, parents, brother James, and two sisters, Norma and Nedra, and daughter-in-law Phyllis W. Parker. Survived by her children, Philip D. Parker (Jean), Bountiful, Utah; Robert A. Parker, Pasadena, California; Linda P. Young (Boyd) Holladay, Utah; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
