Ward W. Cobb, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2003 while visiting in Lancaster, California.
Born in Whitter, California, January 8, 1928. Ward lived in Lancaster for 67 years. He graduated from Antelope Valley High School and from Stanford University. Ward served in the U.S. Navy and Army. A certified Public Accountant, Ward owned his own firm from 1967 until retirement. In November 1998 he and his wife Jo Ann moved to South Jordan, Utah. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lancaster serving as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher and Past President of the Lancaster Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann, daughter Marsha and her husband Brent Michaelsen of West Jordan; son Steffan and wife Barbara Cobb of Lancaster, California; two grand-children, Jayme and husband Miguel Mejia of of Lancaster, California; and Justin Halloran of Salt Lake City; great-grandson Noah Mejia of Lancaster; a brother Agustus and his wife Eleanor Cobb of Santee, California.
Services were held In Lancaster, California.
A memorial reception will be held for Ward on June 4, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. at the Southeast Baptist Church, 1700 East 7000 South. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
