President Steven D. Bennion: "Using the SUU initials as a base, I see our strengths as being S: student focus with great opportunity for personal growth in a personalized learning environment; U: undisputed quality. We have excellent placement of our students in graduate programs, businesses and jobs; U: unparalleled scenery. We are the gateway to Utah's national parks and monuments. We face three challenges: funding, the need for increased support for faculty and staff salaries and more general public understanding of the opportunities available at SUU."
