President Michael T. Benson: "Snow College is best known for its academic quality, committed faculty and friendly learning environment. It is a premier transfer institution with nearly 70 percent of our graduating students going on to four-year institutions. Our areas of particular strength are music and theater, science, pre-engineering, pre-pharmacy and education, and we also have wonderful opportunities for extracurricular involvement with clubs, service organizations, athletics, performing groups and intramurals. The college serves as the cultural, intellectual and athletic focal point for Sanpete County and central Utah. With more students now graduating from high school with both a diploma and an associate's degree, our pool of potential students is shrinking. Also, other state institutions that started out like Snow College have now grown into different types of institutions. We are addressing these and other challenges by establishing partnerships with four-year institutions to offer a select number of bachelor's degrees."
