I'm glad the Deseret Morning News thinks some controls are still necessary over broadcasting, since frequencies are limited. Like your editors, I'm not terribly concerned about the ownership issue, but I do think it necessary for the FCC to ensure some diversity of view when a scarce public resource is being used in a particular political cause.
An example of this is KSL radio, which has nine hours (at least) of vicious Democrat-bashing talk radio, without any representation from the political left. Your arguments would be more persuasive if KSL showed some degree of fairness.
