American Fork will celebrate its 150th birthday between 1-4 p.m. at the Robinson Park and city library, 100 E. Main, and between 6-9 p.m. at the American Fork High School practice field.

BYU's Young Company Shakespeare Troupe will present "The Merry Wive of Windsor" at 11:15 a.m. at the Orem Library, 58 N. State. Children up to 5 years of age are invited to help act-out this Shakespearean play. Call 229-7161 for more information.

"The Sizzling Strings" will perform at the grand opening of the Five Star Playhouse, 50 W. Center. Doors open at 6 p.m.. Performances start at 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. Call 794-1915 for more information. Show will run until Saturday.

An "Artist Quick Draw" auction at 6:30 p.m. at the library, 30 E. Center, Pleasant Grove. Attendees can bid on works by local artists. The auction starts at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will go to support the new community library. Call 785-5866 for details.

The 9th Annual Hidden Gardens Benefit Tour 2003 featuring 12 north Utah County gardens opens at noon and goes until 8 p.m. Guests can start at any garden. Highland gardens are at 6096 W. Dry Creek Road and 6033 W. 11400 North. Tickets are $15.

The Brunson Brothers, Provo Arts Center, 425 W. Center, from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Tickets are $5. Proceeds from the Saturday night concerts go to the Community Action program.
