MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A man opened fire on guests at a noisy birthday party in a neighboring apartment building early Sunday, killing three people and wounding two others, police said.
Kevin Evers, 41, of Miami Beach, fled and was later arrested at his parents' house in Sunrise, north of Miami, police said. He was being held at the Miami-Dade County jail.
The victims were attending a birthday party at an apartment where loud music was playing. Evers, who lives in a neighboring building, allegedly got into an argument with some guests at about 4 a.m. before drawing a gun, said Bobby Hernandez, spokesman for the Miami Beach Police Department.
