There was no one in the world who knew more jokes and had a joke for every occasion than our beloved father, grandfather Fred Bailey, age 85, who passed away June 1, 2003 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Born May 2, 1918 in Salt Lake City, UT to Fredrick Thomas Sharpe and Beulah Bailey. Married Rena Pappas March 27, 1939.

Served in the Navy during World War II. Owned and operated Salt Lake Fish and Poultry with his father. Worked for Cloverleaf Dairy for over 11 years then owned B & P Land and Development. Fred also loved to fish and travel. His wit and humor will always be missed.

Survived by his wife, Rena, sons, Fred (Loni), Terry (Ruth), daughters, Patti Reid and Kay Soffe, 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by sisters, Fran Smith, Dottie Winberg and Donna Taylor.

Friends and family may gather Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. for an informal service at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. with a viewing from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
