"Aunt June"

June Smith Eastman passed away May 30, 2003 following a long illness.

June was born June 20, 1921 in Centerville, Utah to Joseph Roberts and Laura Stoker Smith. She was the fifth of seven children. She grew up in Centerville, and attended Davis County Schools.

June married Armand Gunderson on July 1, 1938, they were later divorced. They had one daughter. She then married the love of her life Bernard L. Eastman on September 2, 1954. He preceded her in death May 27, 1996. They lived in Waterloo, Iowa for nearly 50 years. She returned to Utah in 1996, following his death to be near her family. June was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and endeared aunt. She was a very talented artist, creating many projects and gifts by hand.

She is survived by her daughter, Penny Cahoon (Ted R. Cahoon), four grandchildren, nine great-grand-children, many special nieces and nephews, and two sisters, Betty Thompson and Emeline Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; parents, three brothers, Ben, Dick, and Osro; a sister, Kate; and a granddaughter Rachel.

In accordance to June's wishes she will be cremated. Family graveside services will be held Friday. June 6th, 11:00 a.m. at the Centerville Cemetery.
