2/21/1905 ~ 5/30/2003
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother, Catherine Silotti Rostron, 98, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2003, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Feb 21, 1905 to Margaret Tarrachione and Joseph Silotti in Mercur, UT. She married Zeldon John Rostron on June 4, 1927. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 19, 1940. He passed away on Jan 1, 1997. She worked for many years with her beloved husband at the Little America Refining Company. She served in many positions in the LDS Church, her favorite being on the Stake Primary Board. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and shared it with her family often. She loved to see her great-grandchildren perform their talents. Crocheting and gardening were her passions. She was proud to have four great-grandsons serve missions. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love, family traditions and Church Service. We will miss her dearly but rejoice in the knowledge that she is once again with her beloved Zel and her daughter Gayle Nelson, who passed away Jan 14, 1998.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Forrest) Allinder, S. Jordan; son, Robert (Judy), Honolulu, HI; son-in-law, Richard (Pam) Nelson, Island Park, ID; also survived by sister-in-law, Frances (Jerry) Leek, Moroni, UT; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, parents, brothers and sisters.
The family wishes to thank Emma Lou and Frank Jowers, whom Catherine loved as family, for all the care and services given over the years. Also, a special thanks to all the caregivers at Statford, for the loving care they rendered to her during the past months. We will never forget how much you loved her.
