- Rose Marie Miles Edwards Cook, magnificent wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother - beautiful and without guile - left mortality peacefully on June 1, 2003, in St. George, Utah when her valiant heart simply stopped beating.
Born June 6, 1918 in Roosevelt, Utah, to Martha Jane Miles and Homer P. Edwards.
She is survived by the love of her life John Jacob Cook; sisters MaRee (Elmo) Nelson and Pearl (Clem Labrum, deceased; Jay) Murray; brother William (Donna Rose) Edwards; three children, Carol Lynn (Hal) Robbins, Homer (Karen) Cook and Julianne (Lee) Mullenaux; 20 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Throughout her life, Rose Marie was a friend to all, both to those who knew her and to the stranger who crossed her path. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had a love of the restored gospel and great faith in her Savior.
In her very full life, Rose Marie was a teacher, a bookkeeper, a benefits manager for Rand Corporation and held numerous offices in various clubs and service organizations.
We dearly love you, and will miss you deeply. We look forward to the not too distant future when we will be together again.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2003, at Valley View Mortuary, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, where family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
