Two Utah students, Garret Fox of American Fork High and Jeffrey Ashton of Hillcrest High, are recipients of $16,500 scholarships from Micron Technology Foundation Inc.

Their high schools will receive additional grants of $1,000. They are among 12 students honored nationwide under the Micron Science and Technology Scholars Program.

Recipients are also invited to Idaho during the summer to participate in Technology Adventures and Leadership Learning Week.

Both the Utah recipients plan to study chemical engineering at Brigham Young University.
