Like most residents of Salt Lake, I am sick and tired of the constant whining and threats made by Nordstrom as it tries to get the rules changed so it can move to The Gateway. Its behavior reminds me of a spoiled child who has a tantrum in the middle of a store just because Mommy won't buy him everything he sees. If we change the rules for one store, we have to change them for everyone.

I see only two options for Nordstrom — stay where you are and stop whining or else leave Utah altogether. We still have some great department stores, like Meier & Frank, that don't complain about who is around them.
