PROVO — Mayor Lewis K. Billings signed an agreement last week to bring recycling back to Provo.

The contract with Waste Management of Utah authorizes the company to collect recyclable residential waste in the city.

Residents can sign up Aug. 1 to have recyclable goods collected biweekly at their curbs.

The program will cost $5 a month, but the rate will drop to $4 after 3,000 households join, Provo spokesman Michael Mower said.
