- Erma Winona Bennett Winn, 96, former Winder, Idaho resident, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at her home in Salt Lake City.
She was born October 15, 1906, in Winder, Idaho, the daughter of George Albert and Elizabeth Ann Moore Bennett. She married Marion H. Winn on Dec. 24, 1924, in the Logan Temple. He preceded her in death in Sept. 15, 2002. They were married for 77 years and were recognized as the "Longest living married couple" by the Leo Burnett All State Agency of Chicago, Illinois.
They left the farm in Winder in 1965 and moved to Salt Lake where she worked for 11 years for Deseret Pharmaceutical. They wintered in Blythe, California after retiring. She enjoyed sewing and loved gardening and her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Paul B. Winn, Las Vegas, Nevada; Clare B. (Marlene) Winn, Orin B. Winn, Deyon Cazier, and Idella (Alex) Todd, all of Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, a brother, Floyd (Barbara) Bennett, Winder, Idaho; two sisters, Fern Wells, Salt Lake City; and Zelda Teuscher, Eagle, Idaho. She is preceded in death by a son, Carl George, a daughter, Ermadene Winn, and by three brothers and two sisters, Carl, George, Lloy, Vera Martin, and Alberta Millington.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Thursday, June 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Bros. Mortuary, 255 S. 200 E., Salt Lake City, and Saturday, June 7 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Preston. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
