American Fork's 150th birthday
Wednesday's afternoon activities:
Robinson Park, 100 E. Main
1 p.m., Center State Dance Company
1:45 p.m., Crescent School of Music brass band
2:10 p.m., Jazz 'N Place dance company
2:50 p.m., Rocky Mountain Cloggers
3:25 p.m., Showcase U.S.A
Organizers also have planned such games and activities as bobbing for apples, musical chairs and face painting.
At the public library adjacent to the park, 64 S. 100 East, local historian Alan Walker will display photographs and tell stories.
The children's library will have a puppet show at 1:30 p.m. and cowboy stories from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Evening activities:
American Fork High School practice fields, 510 N. 600 East
6 to 9 p.m.
The event will feature sky divers, a candy drop, the American Fork High School band and the lighting of the city's birthday cake candles. Stephanie Smith and the City Cowboys will perform a concert.
All activities are free.
