Jill Wallace is mistaken in her letter appearing June 3. She claims that Utah is most certainly not proud of a gay and lesbian parade of celebration.
What Utah isn't proud of is hurtful and mean-spirited homophobes. What Utah isn't proud of are people who are afraid to let diverse opinions be spoken and celebrated.
It is unfortunate that Ms. Wallace doesn't recognize her neighbors, friends and family deserve the right to celebration and assembly as much as she retains the right not to participate.
