Utah will get $415,089 out of $53.1 million in federal grants to help workers who lost their jobs for trade-related reasons.

U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao announced the grants. Colorado will get $498,891; Montana, $453,502; and South Dakota, $49,374.

The funding amounts were based on information in a Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration survey of certain training programs. The money will be used to allow trade-affected workers to complete training they have already started or are scheduled to begin.
