Two more Utahns qualified for the U.S. Open Wednesday in a sectional qualifying tournament at Rockville, Md.

Provo's Dan Forsman and St. George's Jay Don Blake were among the 34 qualifiers for next week's U.S. Open as Forsman fired rounds of 67 and 70, while Blake went 70-68. Players who shot 139 or better qualified for the Open, which will be played June 12-15 at Olympia Fields, Ill.

They join ex-BYU golfer Dean Wilson, who was one of 20 qualifiers at Columbus, Ohio, on Monday with a 136 total and Draper's Mike Weir, the reigning Masters champion, who is No. 2 on the PGA Tour money list.

Two players with Utah ties who didn't make it Wednesday in Maryland were ex-BYU golfer Andy Miller, who faded to a 77 after an opening-round 65 and missed by three strokes, and Spanish Fork's Tommy Johnson, who shot 71-76.
