Scrapbookers can "crop around the clock" with Lisa Bearnson, founding editor of Creating Keepsakes magazine, at an all-day, all-night scrapbook event June 13-14. All proceeds will go to benefit Homeward Bound, a non-profit organization that helps families in need.

Called "A Journey of Memories: Crop Around the Clock," the event will be a progressive scrapbook party. Participants will "crop around the block" at five Wasatch Front scrapbook store locations including Memory Lane, Heartland Paper Co. and All My Memories on June 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., to complete a specially designed page layout.

Then from 5 p.m. to midnight on June 13 and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 14 at the Utah Valley State College Student Ballroom, they can crop till they drop, while working on memory album projects, learning the latest techniques from industry experts, meeting scrapbook celebrities and winning prizes. Entertainment will be provided by local comedian Jason Howlett.

The cost of the two-day event is $50 per person. Registration forms are available online at www.homewardboundfoundation.org or at the above scrapbook store locations. Registration deadline is June 10.

Homeward Bound has two core programs: As You Wish Chalet, which provides respite care to families in need, and All About Me Albums, which help at-risk children create self-esteem-building scrapbooks.

Scrapbookers who are interested in volunteering with the All About Me Album program at the Christmas Box House and other locations, can contact sewing@homewardboundfoundation.org or paula@thechristmasboxhouse.org or at 531-8681.
