IASIS Healthcare Corp. has hired Larry Hancock as market president for Utah, a job that begins in June.
He comes to that job from his post as chief executive officer of Altius Health Plans. He also was president and CEO of St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City from 1994 to 1996 and chief financial officer for the five years before that.
He was comptroller of Pioneer Valley Hospital from 1986 to 1988.
Hancock will be responsible for the four Utah IASIS hospitals, overseeing budgets, strategic plans, expansion of services and physician partnerships, working with the chief executive officers and their administrative teams at each hospital.
Those hospitals are Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, Pioneer Valley Hospital, Jordan Valley Hospital and Davis Hospital and Medical Center. IASIS is based in Tennessee.
