I read with interest the article regarding accepting Mexican ID cards in Utah. It seems that Gov. Leavitt and the state of Utah truly are putting out the welcome mat to illegal immigration.
When I was a college student in Utah during the 1980s, I heard many remarks from Utahns to the effect that "I would never live in a smoggy, crowded place like Southern California."
Before Utah puts out the welcome mat to illegal immigration, perhaps Gov. Mike Leavitt should take a look at the paradise known as the San Fernando Valley. This will give you an idea of what Utah will look like in 20 years.
