"Deeda"

Deeda was born in Denver, Colorado on June 22, 1924 and died at home on July 8, 2003. She married Douglas L. Reese in May of 1941.
She is survived by her husband, sons Mark (Lexie) and Paul Reese, daughter Joan Johnston (Mark), grandchildren Lauryn Burkhalter, Kelly Reese, Emily Reese and Katie Johnston.
Deeda spent her life lovingly devoted to her family. She attended Denver University. She was a charter member of Chapter X of P.E.O., a women's educational and philanthropic organization in which she was active throughout her adult life.
Deeda was a proficient knitter and spent countless hours turning out beautiful hand knit garments. She was also an avid reader with a thirst for knowledge. She was proud of her role in enhancing the library at William Penn Elementary School in Salt Lake City.
Her well-developed sense of humor, keen intellect and her loving and caring ways will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to P.E.O. C/O Mrs. Wallace Hoffman, 1206 E. 5730 So., Salt Lake City, UT 84121.
