SALINA, UT <! > - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother and sister, Vivian Beth Peterson Grimstead Williams, age 85, Salina, died July 11, 2003 in Mayfield, Utah.

She was born Jan 22, 1918 in Salina a daughter of Lars P. and Lydia Elizabeth Fenn Peterson. She married Earl Grimistead May 22, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced. She married Robert Floyd Williams, June 11, 1950 in Pioche, NV. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, April 9, 1988.

Vivian was a special lady who loved her family and friends. She had a sense of humor like no other. Her legacy will live on forever. She was known as "Grammy" to everyone. She loved to fish and play games. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Earlene (Gordon, deceased) Jorgenson, Richfield, Linda and Clark Wall, Venice, Diana and John Asbury, Mike and Jan Grimstead, all Ogden, Leslie and Larry Gregerson, Centerfield, Rocky and Louise Williams, Kevin and Sue Williams, Lisa and Henrie Miller, all Salina; 36 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 21 great great-grandchildren; and sisters, Norma Robinson, Naoma Rasmussen, both Salina; Wallace Peterson, South Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert F. Williams; son, Dennis Earl Grimstead; grandson, Logan Christensen; granddaughter, Sheridan Nicole Miller; brothers and sister, Blair Peterson, Howard Peterson, Mike Peterson, Wayland Peterson, Verda Beach.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and residents at the Mayfield Community Care Center; Dr. Dwight Inouye and his staff; Salina Home Health Care Staff; and to all the family and friends.

Services will be Tues. July 15, 2003 11 a.m. Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 87 S. 100 E, Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, Salina, Mon. 7-9 p.m. and Tues. 9:30-10:30 prior to services. Burial, Salina Pioneer Cemetery.
