Many are applauding Karl Malone's move to join the Lakers in his quest to get a ring. Even Larry Miller say's he understands Malone's desire to win a ring. But what about John Stockton? He never left the Jazz to chase a token ring. He stayed to the bitter end, which included three straight first-round playoff exits. Does this mean John Stockton is not a winner?

If Karl Malone gets his championship, does that mean his career has more meaning than Stockton's?

I think not. A winner is someone who takes what he has and gives 100 percent. John Stockton is a winner, and the fact he never won a championship does not change that.
