Nevada Chemicals on Wednesday reported decreased revenues and income for the quarter ended June 30.
The Salt Lake-based company reported net income of $260,000, or 4 cents per share, for the second quarter of 2003, compared with $676,000, or 9 cents per share, for the same quarter a year ago. Nevada Chemicals noted that the second quarter 2002 earnings reflected the sale of the company's West African assets, a pre-tax gain of $460,000, or 4 cents per share.
For the first six months of 2003, Nevada reported a net income of $579,000, or 8 cents per share, compared with a net income of $884,000 for the first half of 2002.
Nevada Chemicals stock fell 46 cents, or almost 11 percent, Wednesday to close at $3.79 per share. In the past year, the price has ranged from $2.40 to $4.25.
