This last Saturday we visited the new Olympic Memorial at Rice-Eccles Stadium. It was an inspiring, beautiful monument that brought back many cherished memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our city. While I thoroughly enjoyed the setting, I felt sad that such a wonderful memorial wasn't downtown where the majority of the visitors to our state could more easily enjoy it. If Rocky Anderson and the Salt Lake City Council couldn't even make something as simple as that happen, maybe it is time to clean house across the board and get people in city government who truly have a larger vision of what this city can become.
