Godless letter shameful

I read with disappointment William Luttrell's letter, printed Sept. 11. Surely the Deseret Morning News can do better on the anniversary of such a monumental tragedy than to publish this bitter, virtiolic diatribe, attacking the belief in God in general.

There was no mention in Luttrell's letter of the mass murders committed by Hitler or Stalin, whose atrocities eclipse those he cites, and whose views on God match his own. As far as ideas that are "patently unbelievable," I can think of no better example than the notion that the entire universe and everything in it sprang from something the size of a subatomic particle.
