SPRINGVILLE — Police arrested a man in his mid-20s late Thursday following a high-speed chase that wound its way around south Utah County.
The man was booked into the Utah County Jail on a no-bail warrant where he faces charges ranging from evading arrest to drug possession with the intent to distribute, police said. The man was wanted on several drug-related charges when Springville police attempted to pull him over shortly before 10 p.m., police said.
Instead of stopping, the man sped away in an SUV. He led officers on a chase through Salem, Payson and Elk Ridge before lawmen finally spiked his tires to stop him. Police said methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.
