About 1,000 customers were without power for a little less than two hours Friday afternoon.
A broken power line wrapped around a neutral line near 1900 East and 2700 South and caused in outage in that area, Utah Power spokesman Dave Eskelsen said.
Normally such an incident is caused by a car running into a power pole. But, Eskelsen said, there is nothing obvious in this case and crews didn't know what caused the wire to snap Friday afternoon.
