1932 ~ 2003

Our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and dear friend, Jo Ann Peterson Bryner, 71, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 12, 2003 in Orem, Utah.

She was born, July 24, 1932, in Huntington Park, CA, a daughter of Clare Joseph and Nan Hatch Peterson. She was the eldest of six children. Raised in Salt Lake City, She attended East High School, where she met her eternal companion, John Castleton Bryner. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 14, 1953.

After graduation from high school, Jo Ann attended the University of Utah, receiving her Bachelors Degree in nursing and she became a registered nurse in 1953. She worked many years in the health care industry both in Utah and California, but she especially enjoyed her time working in Labor and Delivery.

Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully served in many callings, including Primary President. Although she had numerous health problems, mostly caused by multiple sclerosis, which she struggled with for almost 50 years, her concern was always for others.
