An exhibition of paintings and sculptures by local artist Melody Johnson will be on display at the SCERA Art Gallery through September. This free exhibition is open from noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the SCERA Center, 745 S. State.
Johnson's work features two large oils of the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple as well as other buildings and paintings of children.
Also featured in the exhibit are the bronze sculptures of Jerime Hooley, who has taught visual arts in Lehi for the past three years and follows a Western theme of cowboys and horses in his sculptures.

Edgemont Elementary will hold its 4th Annual Extravaganza Friday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the school, 566 E. 3650 North. Activities will include game booths, rides, a climbing wall, rocket launch and obstacle course. Dinner from Fazoli's will be available for purchase.
The big attraction of the evening will be the auction. Theme baskets will be auctioned off in silent and live auction. The public is invited. Call 427-2234 for more information.
The Food & Care coalition will host a Family Fun Day at Pioneer Park, 500 W. Center, on Thursday beginning with dinner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Activities and visiting will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The event will feature juggling and magic presentations, a football toss with BYU players, a prize wheel, potato sack races and a tug-o-war. There will also be a country line-dance instruction and dance.
