ST. GEORGE — SkyWest Airlines Inc. is boosting its fleet, announcing Monday it has placed a firm order for 30 Bombardier regional jets.
The 70-seat aircraft will be used for the company's United Express operations.
The planes are expected to be delivered beginning in January and continuing through May 2005.
The contract includes options for another 80 aircraft that can be delivered in either 70- or 90-seat configurations. Delivery of those could begin in June 2005 and continue through September 2008.
St. George-based SkyWest operates as United Express, Delta Connection and Continental Connection, serving 103 cities in 28 states and two Canadian provinces.
