LEHI — Say dasvidanya to your boring life and zdrasvwitye to a splash of Russian culture at the third annual Utah-Russia Festival Saturday, Sept. 20, at Thanksgiving Point.
The festival will feature Russian food, song, dance, art and souvenirs. Among the entertainers will be the Brigham Young University Folk Dance Ensemble and Russian Choir and the Russian Performing Group of Salt Lake City. It will be held just east of The Barn from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Utah-Russia Institute, based at Utah Valley State College, is sponsoring the festival. The institute is celebrating its 10th year of existence, having organized such things as the recent Moscow-Utah Youth Games and coordinating the upcoming trip of local dentists to Moscow and Kostroma to offer free dental care to Russian orphans.
