Obituary: Leola Park White

Beloved Mother & Grandmother

Our angel mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, sister and friend, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 14, 2003.

Born November 26, 1916 to Clive P. Sutton and Eleanor Katherine Draper Park in Blackfoot Idaho. Leola married her sweetheart, John "Jack" White, in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple, June 28, 1939, who preceded her in death on May 17, 2003.

Leola was a dedicated wife and mother who gave of herself willingly and selflessly, taking care of her husband, family, and home, which were her priorities. Her angel qualities were exemplified while caring for her husband the last five years before his death.

Leola was creative, kind, and gentle. Her sweet sense of humor was with her till the end. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faithfulness and testimony were an inspiration to her family and those who knew her. She was strong and vibrant with gentle angel like qualities. She will be forever missed.

She is survived by her children: John (Vickie) White, LeeAnn Burton, Ron (Amelia) White, 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, brother, Avon (Hazel ) Park, sister-in-laws, Peggy White, Ida Mae Park, Norma White, and brother-in-law, Grant Ericksen. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Leo Burton, brothers Woodrow and Virgil Park, and sister, Maurine Ericksen.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray 25 th

Ward, 363 E. Vine St. Friends and family may call Wed. from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., and one hour prior at the church on Thurs. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens.
