The rules have changed

"Nordstrom knows the rules. The Boyer Co. knew the rules when it built The Gateway development." LaVarr Webb just doesn't get it. The rules have changed! The LDS Church is now the sole beneficiary of the existing zoning regulations preventing Nordstrom (and Target) from locating at The Gateway. Doesn't this sound a little monopolistic? Webb is betting on "other upscale department stores" coming to Salt Lake City and playing by the rules. Unless those rules are changed to allow fundamentally fair competition, I'm betting he'll lose that bet.
