The state Division of Travel Development, also known as the Utah Travel Council, has postponed a Utah tourism summit originally scheduled for Sept. 24 and 25 in Cedar City.

Spencer Kinard, the council's assistant director, said participants faced too many conflicts and that the event probably will be rescheduled for the spring.

Scheduled speakers will be invited to meet with Utah's tourism industry representatives later, either at a statewide tourism conference or smaller, regional conferences the council produces.
