Regarding the column by Jay Evensen "No Straight Lines In the Digital Age," he states that he's all for teaching honesty but straddles the issue by adding that sometimes you have to move a little in order to draw straight lines. Come on. Anyone intelligent enough to figure out how to download music off the Internet is capable enough to locate the legal stuff. School library media teachers throughout the state offer the means to learn this skill. By using a search engine such as Google and entering the keywords "legal mp3" any child with a modicum of skill can find legal sites. The straight and narrow line is not that hard to draw nor to follow.
