Obituary: Noal Huish Butler

Noal Huish Burter, age 92 of Payson, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003.

He was born May 12, 1911 in Buel, Tooele County, Utah; the fourth child of ten born to William and Fanny Huish Butler. He grew up in Spring Lake.

He married Ulala Myers, March 14, 1930. They were married 69 years when she passed away May 24, 1999. They were the parents of four children: Nola Rae (Jack) Olson; Dawna (Jerry) Stewart; Shirlene Boswell (Steve) Poulson; Ronald Noal (Ruby) Butler.

Noal picked up milk from the farms in Spring Lake, West Mountain, Payson, Benjamin and Lake Shore and took it to the creamery until the early 1950's. He then was a roofer and carpet layer well into his 80's. He enjoyed sports and played softball and baseball in three different leagues.

In addition to his children, he is survived by 23 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren; 49 great-great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters: Jay (Carol) Butler, Henderson, NV; Darthella Cook, Goshen; Viola Cowan, Spring Lake; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Butler, St. George. He was preceded in death by his son, Ron; sons-in-law: Jerry Stewart, Gary Boswell, Steve Poulson; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; four brothers: Bill, Sid, Bud, Elvon; and two sisters, Verna and LaRae.

Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 18, 2003, 12:00 noon, in the Old Santaquin Stake Center, 90 South 200 East. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Thursday, 6-8:00 p.m. or at the church on Friday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
