Weber State has announced its 2003-2004 men's basketball schedule.

The schedule includes a 13 home games, including four in-state opponents, and two in-season tournaments, not to mention the Big Sky Conference games.

Following a season that saw the Wildcats run the table on Big Sky opponents, WSU coach Joe Cravens likes the schedule.

"This is a good, competitive schedule," said Cravens. "Our in-state games alone make our non-conference schedule one of the toughest if not the toughest, in the Big Sky. On the road, we restart our series with Southern Utah, play Nevada which has its best team in many years, and we have a chance to play Wisconsin-Green Bay and Southwest Missouri State, two always strong teams. It will definitely get us ready for the Big Sky schedule, which will be as strong, if not stronger, than last season."

The Wildcats begin play with three home games in seven days, starting with Albertson College (Idaho) on Nov. 21. Then Weber has Utah State on Nov. 25 and Warner Pacific on Nov. 28.

There will be two doubleheader nights with Weber State's women's team. On Friday, Nov. 21, the women play BYU at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Albertson College game at 9:05 p.m. On Tuesday, Dec. 16, the women will play North Texas at 5:45 p.m., followed by the men vs. University of Portland at 8:05 p.m. The other one comes on Saturday, Jan. 3, when the Wildcats host the University of Utah in an afternoon tip-off at 2:05 p.m.

The Wildcats begin Big Sky Conference play with three tough road games at Idaho State (Jan.10), at Montana State (Jan. 15) and at Montana (Jan. 17).
