Amos Supuni, master sculptor and artist-in-residence at the First Unitarian Church, will teach stone-carving classes this fall. Open to novices and artists alike, the hands-on classes will include instruction, stone and tools. For time and cost, contact the Rev. Silvia Berhend at 582-2033 or revsilslc@yahoo.com.

The Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple, will host another ART TALK on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Peter Clothier, poet, novelist and art critic, will discuss "Poets as Critics." Clothier writes for Artnews, Artforum and Art in America and is the author of "Para Poems" and "Chiaroscuro, A Novel."

Art Access will host a mono-printmaking workshop (for adults with and without disabilities) with Willamarie Huelskamp, watercolor artist, on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Participants will create mono-prints using water-based inks on plexiglass. The $40 fee includes art supplies and a boxed-lunch (fee can be waived if needed). For application and more information call 328-0703.
