Salt Lake police are looking for a man in connection with a July 19 shooting that left a victim in critical condition with four gunshot wounds.
Two men went after a third man as he was leaving a vehicle near 700 South and 500 East. Multiple shots were fired. The victim was struck four times, Salt Lake police detective Dwayne Baird said.
Fabian Alfredo Fernandez, 29, is being sought. Fernandez was seen in Salt Lake City Tuesday afternoon and could still be in Utah, Baird said. He's also wanted for questioning in connection with a recent aggravated assault, Baird said.
Fernandez is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches, 180 pounds, wavy unkempt hair with an artificial or lazy left eye, Baird said.
He drives a 1980s white four-door Cadillac with a partial California license plate of 884, and is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information of his whereabouts is asked to call Salt Lake police at 801-799-3000.
